Heavy Seas Loose Cannon
Brewed in Baltimore, this award-winning creamy IPA bursts with notes of grapefruit, herbs and pine. Made with a strong malt backbone, Loose Cannon uses a triple-hopped process in order to create this tasty creation. This IPA goes well with spicy items, like buffalo wings.
Blue Point Toasted Lager
The most popular and uniquely brewed beverage from the Blue Point Brewing Company, the Blue Point Toasted Lager is the perfect beer to sip in the cool autumn temps. Made from six different malts, including English Pale, Carapils and wheat, the Blue Point Toasted Lager has a balanced flavor and smooth finish. Enjoy this beer with a side of barbecue, like fall-off-the-bone ribs or pulled pork sandwiches. This beer has been selected as the Greene Turtle’s September Beer of the Month.
Harpoon Pumpkin UFO
October’s Beer of the Month is the Harpoon Pumpkin UFO, a beer that features a blend of Northwestern hops, a blend of spices and earthy notes from—you guessed it—pumpkin. When combined, this blend of ingredients create a slightly sweet taste with a smooth feel and goes well with roasted duck and creamy desserts. No need to alert Roswell though. UFO in this case stands for Unfiltered Offering, meaning this particular beer is unfiltered.
This refreshing, unfiltered wheat beer starts rich and creamy and features a tartness that’s a lot like fresh-cut lemons enhanced with a light floral aroma. The combination of ingredients, along with pale malt, creates a beer that’s sour enough to make you pucker your lips but pleasant enough to enjoy. Knock back this tasty beer with dishes that include garlic, basil, rosemary, saffron and olive oil. This was nominated as November’s Beer of the Month.
Vanilla Porter
Produced by Breckenridge Brewery, this Colorado ale features a blend of chocolate, roasted nut and a creamy vanilla finish, the perfect flavors for fall. The vanilla beans come from Paupau New Guinea and Madagascar while the hops and malts feature chinook, roasted barley, caramel and other flavors. This dark beer, selected as December’s Beer of the Month, goes well with oysters, seared scallops and grilled fish.
