The World Cup is a highly anticipated sporting event around the world, especially since it only takes place once every four years. Well, 2014 is one of those years and you want to be sure to join in all of the fun. Even if you are not a soccer aficionado, watching the matches is great way to spend time with friends. This new restaurant and bar has several features that make it a fabulous spot to watch the World Cup. It has ample seating, several large screen TVs and dozens upon dozens of craft beer options. Furthermore, its menu is far from average bar food. City Tap House serves delicious items such as flatbreads, salads, hushpuppies and mac n cheese. Its honey goat cheese is one of the best items on the menu, with truffle honey and pistachio being the star ingredients. Remember to save room for dessert. Both the chocolate lava cake and cheesecake in a jar are simply sublime.

Menu MBK is a three-part foodie destination, with a market, bar and adjoining restaurant. For the purposes of watching the World Cup, you will want to head to the spacious bistro bar. The bar will be offering specials on Belgian and American beer when those teams are playing and there will be a special menu of Brazilian snacks served during the games, since that is where the world cup is taking place. Guests can also order off of the regular bar menu which includes a variety of small and large plates.

The best part about watching the games at the Biergarten Haus is the festive atmosphere. The Europeans love a good soccer match, and this German venue provides the enthusiasm of a European crowd. It also has big TV screens, German beers and a special schedule which means it will open early and close late depending on the schedule of the games. Just be sure to come early so you can get a good viewing spot.
