Jiffy Lube Live is where you are likely to find the biggest names in country in the DC area. This summer Tim McGraw stops by the outdoor venue on his Shotgun Rider Tour, in support of his hit album of the same name. Accompanying him on the tour are Billy Currington and Chase Bryant. The ’80s were a magical time for music, especially for pop music. Culture Club emerged on the scene with a string of other Brit-pop bands. Lead singer Boy George became an icon for his style and attitude. Although the singer has has an infamous career and life, he has gotten back on track in the last few years. Grammy Award-nominated southern rock band Alabama Shakes are on quite a roll. After a spectacular display on “Saturday Night Live” earlier this year, the band’s sophomore album, “Sounds & Color,” debuted at No. 1.
