Escape from the cold February temperatures and get a taste of Jamaican music at Patty Boom Boom, a Jamaican-influenced dance hall located in the heart of the U Street Corridor. Enjoy delectable treats like spicy beef and guava goat patties, a glass of rum punch and some classic reggae music. While other nights of the week features dancehall DJs, Tuesday nights feature a special performance from the locally-bred reggae group the Archives Band. His music is R&B meets hip-hop meets neo soul. V. Rich made his mark in DC when he found the successful hip-hop band Lauda. Since then he’s traveled with R&B star Amel Larrieux, and worked with other singing greats like Lauryn Hill and Mya. Enjoy the show at Blues Alley, the nation’s oldest continuing jazz and supper club. The venue provides a wide variety of entrees and late night fare, plus delectable adult beverages.
